Racks of clothing and shoes share the floor with furniture, household goods and vintage pieces at Nice Twice Resale Shoppe in Grandville, Michigan. A boutique section carries name-brand items. Each week, selected categories go on sale, and a weekly email announces those sales. The shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
Donations of clothes, shoes, jewelry, books, household items and furniture keep the shelves stocked. Volunteers collect, sort, organize, repair and sell the merchandise, and the shop also accepts money donations. Nice Twice opened in 2004 to make Christian education more affordable for students at Grandville Calvin Christian Schools. Since then, it has given more than $3.2 million to the elementary, middle and high schools in that system, which helps keep tuition down.
