Open every day of the week, this Englewood shop takes donations of household and other goods during its regular hours. It also offers pick-up and delivery for large items or large numbers of items. Its shelves carry furniture, books, art, small appliances and one-of-a-kind knickknacks.
All proceeds from sales go to Suncoast Humane Society, a nonprofit animal shelter, and fund its services, programs and the animals in its care. The organization also runs a low-cost clinic offering spay and neuter surgery and vaccinations, along with an adoption program. Volunteers do much of the store's work, pricing, displaying and selling the donated goods. Large yellow letters spell out "Thrift Store" across the tan roofline, next to the humane society's red-heart sign.
