Open five days a week, Sundays included, Afterglow Vintage in Denver carries vintage furniture, clothing, art, housewares, books, music and collectibles for both the home and the wardrobe. It is a vintage and thrift store, and its two co-owners choose every piece on the floor themselves. One focuses on furniture, art and housewares, and the other on clothing, art, books and music.
The partners met on a First Friday Art Walk along Santa Fe Drive and went into business together soon after. Keeping old items out of the landfill is part of what drives the shop. Inside, a black-and-gold harlequin counter sits in front of exposed brick walls hung with framed art, and patterned rugs are layered across the floor.
