ECHO Resale in Benzonia, Michigan, is part of ECHO His Love, a Christian nonprofit 501(c)(3) that brings area churches and community partners together. The ministry's mission is to mobilize those churches to change lives by meeting people's physical and spiritual needs with the love of Jesus. Its stated aim is to help one person and one family at a time, with love, hope and dignity.
The same ministry runs the MANNA Pantry, a Ministry Resource Center and the Safe Harbor shelter. From November through April, Safe Harbor gives people experiencing homelessness a warm, safe place to stay, along with meals, help recovering vital documents and connections to housing resources. The resale store is open five days a week. Its sign, set beneath an arched front, carries a red heart and blue cross logo.
