Downtown Weldon, North Carolina, is home to a vendor market that opened in 2017 as part of an effort to revive the district and took the name Red Wagon in 2022. Its shelves hold vintage collectibles, antiques, figurines, home goods and seasonal home decor. Some vendors also carry new, in-the-box merchandise and crafty gifts, and a Back Room holds still more stock.
The market also serves as a launching pad for small businesses, and new vendors can join to sell unneeded household items or to run a buying-and-selling business. Frequent shoppers collect stamps through a loyalty app toward a jar of Red Wagon Jelly. The doors open seven days a week beneath a red sign with a small wagon drawn on it, set between the words Eclectic and Market.
