The Little Thrift Shop at St. Michael's Church has served the community since 1958 and is run by St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Grosse Pointe Woods. Proceeds from the shop help several local nonprofit organizations. That work carries out the parish's mission of actively loving and serving its neighbors.
The shop is open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays. Clothing fills the sales floor on long racks sorted under small signs for sections such as ladies' sweaters, and green curtains run along the tops of the wall shelving. The church operates the shop as a church thrift store, and it takes in consignment items on Fridays by appointment only.
