Ypsilanti has its own Value World Thrift, part of the Value World chain of thrift superstores. The store carries new and secondhand name-brand clothing for women, men, kids and babies, and new stock reaches the floor daily. Beyond clothing, the shelves hold jewelry such as watches, rings and necklaces, along with electronics including TVs, audio and gaming gear, plus books, music and movies.
Housewares include kitchenware, home décor and small appliances, and the toys and games section carries video games and puzzles. Gift cards are available. The building has accessible parking and an accessible entrance, and the store is open seven days a week, staying open into the evening most days. A tall red Value World sign stands on posts above its brown-paneled roofline.
