Our Neighbor's Keeper runs its resale shop alongside a mission of giving free furniture and household goods to recently homeless families once they find housing. The Jackson nonprofit also helps people experiencing homelessness through support, advocacy and referrals. Because the work is done entirely by volunteers, donations go straight to the people who need them most.
The shop sells clothing, home decor, collectibles, vintage items and personal accessories such as bags and jewelry cabinets, and the sales support the organization's mission. It accepts donated furniture and household goods. Gifts of money help pay operating expenses, gas for the van and direct help for families. The organization also runs a program called Beds For Everyone, and the shop is open five days a week.
