Reuse, repurposing and recycling are the ideas behind Not Dot Shop, a consignment store in Geneseo, New York. Its stock is supplied by a group of member sellers who each fill their own space in the shop with antique, vintage and thrifted goods, and new members join when a space opens up. The shelves run from jewelry to valuable antiques, along with gifts and home goods.
The side of the building carries a large, brightly colored mural of a black bear set among oversized flowers and leaves. The shop is open five days a week, Sundays included. It also stays open later on certain holidays, and visits outside regular hours can be arranged by appointment.
