Every dollar from the Riverside ReStore goes to Habitat for Humanity Riverside, which owns and runs the store. The money helps build shelter, stability and self-reliance in the communities the nonprofit serves. The store works as a discount home improvement store and donation center, selling furniture, appliances, home goods and building materials, with new items arriving daily.
The donation center takes new and used home improvement materials and home goods by appointment. Each week brings a sale, Thursdays add Double Sale Ads, and the stock can also be bought online. The store is open Tuesday through Saturday, and volunteers can give their time there as well. On the warehouse floor, rows of bathroom vanities sit next to wooden dining sets and bedroom furniture.
