This is a community thrift shop run by the Cayucos Seniors Club, a club founded in 1973. The club is non-profit, non-partisan and non-denominational, and it serves residents aged fifty and older and their spouses. Money from the shop goes to community projects. The club also runs a local van service, lends disability equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers and shower benches, and holds a monthly membership luncheon with live music.
The Senior Citizens Center shop resells donated clothing and small household items, and donations are tax-deductible. It is open four days a week, closing Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays. The storefront has a turquoise front door with matching turquoise railings, and a large old cypress tree twists across the front of the building.
