Clothing for the whole family fills this Rancho Cucamonga thrift store, along with dinnerware, accessories, books, housewares and electronics. Savers runs it through TVI, Inc., a for-profit company, so purchases here do not benefit a nonprofit. Bold red "savers" lettering with a blue "thrift" beside it runs across the stucco front, under a terracotta tile roof. The doors open seven days a week and stay open into the evening.
An on-site donation center takes clothing and shoes, bed and bath goods, books and media, games and toys, small appliances, small furniture, electronics and sporting goods. Savers pays the American Red Cross for donated goods, which are sold in bulk to fund its charitable work. Donors get a discount on their next purchase, and every Tuesday shoppers 55 and older get a senior discount.
