Donations are welcome at Bloom Again during business hours, when a tax-deductible receipt can be written on the spot, and a weatherproof shed in front of the shop takes after-hours drop-offs. Pickups can also be arranged. Large furniture is accepted case by case, and children's toys, furniture and strollers are not taken, though children's clothing and shoes are. Tuesday is Senior Day, with a discount for shoppers 55 and older.
The Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club, founded in 1926, runs the upscale resale shop, and its sales help fund the club's grants to local nonprofits. The stock runs from plants, pots and garden accessories to clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and children, along with housewares, furniture, art and collectibles, some of them new.
