Run by Goodwill Industries of San Diego County, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Goodwill Outlet Center and Donation Center in Escondido serves as both an outlet store and a drop-off point for donated goods. Donors can bring electronics and furniture here, and the location also takes soft plastics. The long gray building has a blue sign reading Goodwill Clearance Center, with an arrow sign pointing shoppers to the entrance.
Auctions set this outlet apart. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, apparel, linens, shoes, housewares and electronics go up for bid, and a preview period comes shortly before each auction starts. The store and its donation area are both open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
