A nonprofit resale shop, ReRuns ReSale Shoppe in Poway is run by Friends of Poway Seniors. That's the current name of the Poway Valley Senior Citizens Corporation, a 501(c)(3) formed in 1974. Sales support the group's mission of helping seniors and marginalized communities, which includes funding city-run senior programs. Since July 2021, donations have also gone straight to people and animals in need. They have furnished transitional housing for survivors of domestic violence with Soroptimist International of Poway and Crisis House. They have also been handed out to people experiencing homelessness and given to Helen Woodward Animal Rescue and Scratch My Belly.
Donation drop-offs are by appointment only. The shop is open five days a week, Sundays included. A red awning shades the entrance, set beneath a bright blue upper facade.
