Every sale at Rescued Treasures supports Community Concern for Cats, the nonprofit that runs the shop. All proceeds go directly to helping homeless cats in the area. The Walnut Creek store carries furniture, antiques and vintage pieces, clothing, jewelry, artwork, books, dishes, crystal and glassware, and other household goods. Its name runs in bold red capital letters across a long cream-colored facade.
Donations are tax deductible and are accepted during open hours Monday through Saturday, but not on Sundays. Along with household goods, the shop takes cat food and litter, which go to the organization's volunteers who foster cats. The doors are open seven days a week, with shorter hours on Sunday.
