Donations arrive on weekdays at The Thrift Shop at All Saints in San Leandro. The shop takes kitchenware, glassware, small appliances, shoes in good condition, tools, sporting goods, electronics, toys, baby items, lamps, DVDs, jewelry, cosmetics, collectibles, antiques and home décor. It turns away clothing, furniture, large appliances, mattresses, TVs, car seats and anything too big for one person to carry. Every item was donated, and all proceeds support All Saints Episcopal Church.
Jewelry leads the stock, alongside artwork, religious art, books, crafting fabric, kitchenware and collectibles, and higher-end pieces sell on eBay. The shop's mission is to keep goods out of the landfill, offer affordable merchandise to neighbors facing financial hardship, and connect with the community. Purple carpet runs past white bookcases toward a bright yellow back room.
