Household items, clothing, toys and books fill the shelves at Assistance League Resale, and the merchandise changes every day. The store is open for shopping four days a week, and donations are accepted on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. A lit sign with a blue "AL" monogram and a red star marks the front of its gabled building.
Volunteers staff the store, which is the physical home of Assistance League of Santa Clarita, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has helped Santa Clarita Valley families since 1989. Sales proceeds fund the group's charitable programs, including Operation School Bell, Senior Connection, Teddy Bear Patrol and Fostering Success, which supports young people leaving foster care. All proceeds stay in the Santa Clarita Valley.
