Open five days a week, this Lewes ReStore is a nonprofit retail center run by Sussex County Habitat for Humanity. Its stock covers furniture, home décor, appliances and building materials, all donated by local individuals and businesses, and the store takes both new and used items from the public.
Every sale turns those donations into money for building homes. The proceeds stay local and pay for building houses for qualified families. That work carries out the mission of Habitat for Humanity: to build homes, communities and hope. The white building with blue trim has a covered front porch lined with wrought-iron garden trellises, and a tall metal armillary sphere stands out front.
