Found in Old Town is run by Found Curated Thrift, a nonprofit thrift operation with three locations. Its sales fund direct assistance in the community, and that support has passed $50,000. The organization has also kept more than 15 tons of goods out of landfills and found new homes for over 100,000 items.
The Eureka store is part of that Humboldt County work. It's open seven days a week, and on at least one of those days it stays open into the evening. Everything on its shelves is secondhand, and each purchase adds to the nonprofit's count of items sent back into use. Found Curated Thrift calls itself a curated thrift store and runs it as a community-focused nonprofit shop.
