Love INC of Tulare County runs this Tulare thrift shop. The group is an affiliate of Love In The Name of Christ National and brings local churches together to help neighbors in need. Its racks and shelves hold clothing, shoes, furniture, housewares, appliances, toys, bedding, decor, books, craft supplies and sporting goods. The shop sits in a long tan stucco building lined with banded pillars, and it is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
Donations are taken at a drop-off point during store hours. Accepted items include beds, very lightly used mattresses other than king size, TVs and holiday items. Damaged items, incomplete furniture and large entertainment centers are turned away. Many donated goods go back to the community free through a voucher program. Money from sales buys mattresses for the Mattress Ministry, which gives beds to people who have none.
