PawPrints Thrift Boutique in Chico is run entirely by volunteers, and all of its profits fund three spay and neuter programs. P-SNAP, the PawPrints Spay & Neuter Assistance Program, helps local pet owners pay to have their pets spayed and neutered. Neighborhood Cat Advocates spays and neuters feral and unowned cats. The PawPrints Spay & Neuter Clinic opened in March 2023 and also focuses on feral and unowned cats.
The boutique is open five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday. Donations go to the back of the store during set drop-off hours on those same days, and volunteers inside the shop direct first-time donors to the right spot. Every purchase and every donated item helps keep the three programs running in the fight against pet overpopulation.
