Job training and placement for people facing barriers to employment is the work behind Goodwill Thrift Store - Wilson in Humble, Texas, which is run by Goodwill Houston, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. That support reaches veterans, older workers, at-risk youth, the formerly incarcerated and individuals with disabilities. The organization educates, trains and hires people so they can thrive, and it connects families and communities to meet the workforce needs of today and tomorrow.
The store opens its doors seven days a week and stays open into the evening. Donations are accepted at the building, where blue lettering on the tan front names it a Goodwill Select Store and Donation Center, next to a Goodwill logo styled after the Texas flag.
