Goodwill Thrift Store & Donation Center – Willis is both a shop and a drop-off point for donated goods, and its doors are open seven days a week, into the evening. Its sales support the job training and placement work of Goodwill Houston, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. On the front of its tan building, the store sign is set in large blue lettering, and a separate entrance is marked for donations.
That training and placement work serves people who face barriers to employment, including veterans, older workers, at-risk youth, the formerly incarcerated and individuals with disabilities. Participants are educated, trained and hired, with the aim of connecting people, families and communities and meeting the workforce needs of today and tomorrow.
