Rosenberg has a resale shop here that deals only in children's things. Once Upon A Child buys and sells kids' clothing, shoes, toys, books, furniture and baby gear, with sizes from preemie through Youth 20 and every season in stock all year. The store is an independently owned and operated franchise of Winmark Corporation, the resale company based in Minneapolis.
Rather than taking donations, the store buys outgrown items from parents, with no appointment needed, and pays cash on the spot. Its rewards program earns points on both purchases and sales and gives members exclusive discounts, special promotions and store events. The doors open seven days a week, with evening hours on at least one of them. A pink and blue lettered sign tops the storefront, and children's toys and gear fill the front windows.
