Schulenburg's Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a nonprofit home-improvement store run independently by Fayette County Habitat for Humanity. It sells donated goods to the public, both new and used, and the money from those sales goes toward the organization's work of building decent, affordable homes for local individuals and families.
The stock includes furniture, appliances and building materials, along with other household and construction items that people have given to the store. Each sale of donated materials helps Habitat strengthen the surrounding community. The store has its own donation guidelines, and drop-offs happen during the same hours the store is open for shopping. Both shopping and donating happen only on Fridays and Saturdays, with each day's window ending in the early afternoon.
