Huntsville's Goodwill Houston Store & Donation Center is a thrift shop and a drop-off point for donated goods. It is run by Goodwill Houston, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Sales here help pay for job training and placement for people who face barriers to employment, including veterans, older workers, at-risk youth, people who were formerly incarcerated and people with disabilities. Beyond training, the organization also hires people from those groups directly.
Out front, a broad blue sign carries the Goodwill logo in Texas flag colors and calls the shop a Goodwill Select store. The sign sits on a white facade between two tan stone pillars, under a dark metal awning. The doors open every day of the week, and the store stays open into the evening.
