In Conroe, Unique Resale is the resale shop of the Community Assistance Center, a nonprofit that has worked alongside individuals and families for 45 years. The shop is open to the public, and all proceeds benefit the center's programs and services, which include a client choice food pantry, utility assistance, disaster relief, clothing vouchers and supportive housing.
Drop-off donations are accepted during weekday shop hours, and pick-ups of donated furniture are available by appointment. The shop keeps a list of items it can and cannot accept. It is open on weekdays and closed on weekends. A blue awning marks the entrance of the tan metal building, where furniture and racks of clothing are set out on the pavement in front.
