This resale shop belongs to the Resource and Crisis Center of Galveston County, which owns and operates it outright. Its shelves carry clothing, furniture, housewares, working electronics, books and records, all of it donated. Sales revenue pays for agency operations that grants do not cover. The store also supplies clothing, household goods and furniture directly to the center's clients in need.
Donations are accepted during business hours, six days a week, and the store is closed on Sundays. Under a minimal-contact policy, donors leave items at the back door and can knock there if they need help. For furniture, other large items and donation drives, the center's team will come and pick them up. The building has a white corrugated-metal front with a band of red trim over the entrance.
