Since 2013, Hangers of Hope has raised money for Bethesda Health Clinic, which provides low-cost medical and dental care to uninsured working people in Tyler, Texas. The Highland Village shop sells clothing, accessories and household goods, and its blue script sign carries the clinic's name beneath it. Clothing from the stores goes down the runway at Runway for Hope, a fashion show and luncheon that benefits the clinic.
The store accepts donations of new and used items that can be resold, and pickups can be scheduled for larger donations. Items too flawed to sell are recycled and sent to developing countries. Every Tuesday is Hope Rewards Tuesday, with a discount on everything in the store. It is open six days a week, into the evening on at least one of them, and closed on Sundays.
