Hardware is the focus at this nonprofit resale shop. Friends for Life runs it and sells donated tools, hardware and hobby items. The money goes to programs that help seniors and adults with disabilities across Texas live independently. Volunteers repair the used tools that come in before they go back out for sale at a discount.
The Tool Shed takes donations of used tools, and every sale helps fund the work of Friends for Life. The store is open four days a week, from Wednesday through Saturday, in Waco, Texas. A large red sign with bold white lettering hangs across the front of the building and names it The Tool Shed Thrift Shop.
