The Orlando Union Rescue Mission's thrift store supports a Christian ministry that has served hungry and homeless people across Central Florida for many years. The Mission gives residents private rooms, three meals a day and other basic needs. It pairs that relief with Christ-centered care, Bible studies and chapel services, all aimed at helping people reach lasting independence.
Beyond shelter, the Mission runs education programs for adults and children, career guidance, life skills courses and a savings program. It also offers addiction recovery programs and mental health assessment and help. Inside the store, strings of lights and greenery run across the ceiling above a wide patterned rug on the sales floor. The store is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
