Donations of clothing and shoes, housewares, books and media, electronics, small appliances, small furniture, toys and sporting goods are accepted at the Burlington Savers, which is open seven days a week and into the evening. Savers is a for-profit thrift company, so shopping here does not benefit a nonprofit. Instead, the store pays the American Red Cross for donated goods, which helps fund its charitable work. Donors also get a discount toward their next purchase.
The shelves hold clothing for the whole family, along with dinnerware, accessories, books, housewares and electronics. Every Tuesday is Senior Tuesday, with a discount for shoppers 55 and older. Super Savers Club members earn rewards and get members-only sales. Red "savers" lettering tops the gray front of the building, with "thrift" in blue below it.
