In Mobile, the Schillinger Road Goodwill brings three operations together under one roof: a retail thrift store, a donation center and an Opportunity Center. Goodwill Gulf Coast runs it, an organization that serves ten counties across southwest Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. The Opportunity Center connects job seekers with the organization's employment and education services, and household items can be donated on site. Big blue Goodwill lettering runs across the long front windows, set above wide stripes of blue, red, orange and yellow.
The store's doors are open seven days a week, and it stays open into the evening. The donation center also takes drop-offs every day of the week and keeps evening hours of its own. The Opportunity Center is open on weekdays.
