The Robin's Nest is a resale shop run by Ancora Compassionate Care in Reidsville, North Carolina. It sells donated clothing, home décor, furniture, books, puzzles and artwork. Its sales help pay for Ancora's hospice care, serious illness care, grief and bereavement services, and counseling center. Framed artwork lines the blue and wood-paneled walls, and a round table in the middle of the floor holds glassware.
Donations are tax-deductible because Ancora is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All items must be clean and either new or showing only slight wear. Volunteers help with taking in donations, sorting, pricing, merchandising and assisting customers. The shop is open four days a week, Wednesday through Saturday, and posts its specials and sales on its Facebook page.
