Proceeds from this Decatur ReStore help Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County build homes with families who need a decent, affordable place to live. Shelves hold new and used building materials and household goods, including furniture, lighting, flooring, appliances, books, decor, and kitchen and dining ware. The store also carries new Ashley furniture, which is paid for at the time of ordering.
Donations of building materials and household items in good, usable condition arrive daily, so the stock keeps changing. A free pickup service takes large items or several pieces at once and can be booked online. Volunteers build product displays and help collect donations. The store is open Monday through Saturday and closed Sundays. A bright blue awning stretches over its entrance, under a sign showing the Habitat for Humanity and ReStore names.
