Every purchase at this Foley thrift shop helps pay the operating expenses of Big Fish Ministries, a Christ-centered addiction recovery organization. The shop is open five days a week. Shoppers who sign up for the ministry's emails get thrift shop discounts along with news and event information.
For more than ten years, Big Fish Ministries has offered Bible-based residential recovery for men and women through Pathway to Purpose. This 12- to 18-month program includes faith-based counseling, mentorship, discipleship classes, life-skills training and job readiness training. The ministry also hosts Recovery Revolution, a weekly gathering with a meal, fellowship, worship and teaching. Across the front of the building, a long white sign pairs the ministry's black whale-tail logo with the words "thrift shop" in bold blue letters.
