Thrift Boutique of First UMC uses its donations to help a homeless shelter, Disability Solutions, Sugar Mill Elementary and the One Family foster care ministry. The shop is a ministry of First United Methodist Church in Port Orange, Florida. A servant team runs it and keeps a basket where visitors can leave prayer requests.
Donations given to the boutique also support First Baptist of Port Orange, provide spiritual guidance and furnish homes for people in need. Other ministry programs, both local and abroad, receive supplies from the shop as well. The boutique is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. White window signs mark separate sections for home goods, children's items and books, and wooden furniture stands along the front walk.
