Since 2007, the First Baptist Church of Leesburg Thrift Store has sold donated goods to raise money for First Baptist Church and its Christian Care Center. That money lets the ministries help people who are hurting, meet their basic needs and share the Christian gospel. Furniture and home pieces such as an Asian folding screen and a rattan table set have been part of the merchandise.
The Leesburg store is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. It holds sales and special events from time to time and announces them to an email list. It also takes on volunteers. A tall sign with bold red lettering stands in front of the pale yellow building, which has green columns along its covered front.
