Sales at this Fort Pierce shop fund the work of Mustard Seed Ministries, a faith-based nonprofit that has helped local residents in crisis since 1986 with food pantries, hot meals and help with rent and electric bills. The racks and shelves hold clothing and accessories, furniture, housewares, home décor, books and DVDs, and new stock goes out every day.
The shop's name is painted across its glass front door in green script outlined in pink. Donations are taken during business hours and should never be left outside after closing. The ministry picks up furniture only, and it must be clean and in good enough shape to resell. Everything else gets dropped off at the store, which is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
