A ministry thrift shop in Crestview, Exodos Thrift raises support for Exodos Ministries, a Christ-centered residential addiction recovery ministry for men based in Baker, Florida. Donations and purchases fund drug recovery at the ministry house and help minister to local families. The racks and shelves carry clothing, shoes, furniture, kitchen items, bedding, books and assorted odds and ends.
The ministry works alongside Sharing and Caring, the Crestview Area Shelter for the Homeless, local churches and other charities to help people in need. The store also gives individuals a place to complete community service hours and school volunteer projects, and gives special needs children a chance to gain work experience. Its brick building has a steep peaked roof and a white Exodos sign over a bright red X. The store is open six days a week and closed Sundays.
