Open six days a week and closed on Sundays, Haven House Thrift Store sells secondhand goods to shoppers in Destin, Florida. Every purchase made here supports Haven House, the organization that runs the shop and puts the money from each sale back into its ongoing work.
The store's stock covers both the home and the closet. Large furniture such as mattresses, sofas and dining tables sits alongside dinnerware and racks of clothing. A red sign reading Thrift Shop runs across the tan stucco front of the building, and the names of those goods are lettered on its shop windows. Haven House Thrift Store carries the full Haven House name, and its Destin shop works toward the same mission as the organization behind it.
