Donated home goods and building supplies fill the Chipley ReStore, which is open on weekdays and takes donations whenever its doors are open. Accepted items run from furniture, appliances, cabinets, doors and latex paint to books, clothing, jewelry, toys, tools and sports equipment, while televisions, computers, pianos and water heaters are turned away. Large donations can be picked up, and businesses can arrange pickups of excess or clearance inventory.
Chipola Area Habitat for Humanity runs the store, and its proceeds help build homes locally and around the world. The affiliate has been building, repairing and preserving affordable homes since 1988. Blue hanging signs divide the sales floor into sections such as furniture, household goods and linens.
