Daystar Thrift Store is part of Daystar Life Center, a charitable ministry of St. Benedict Catholic Church that has helped the poor since 1983. Along with the store, the center runs a food pantry and a social services office that helps with rent, utilities, photo IDs and medical equipment.
The store sells furniture, appliances, clothing, household goods, sports items, books, jewelry, toys and tools. Under a high metal roof, shelves of computer monitors and electronics stand alongside furniture and exercise equipment. The ministry welcomes all Christian churches and people of every faith and background to support its work, and it accepts money donations, including gifts made in memory of someone. The store is open on weekdays and closed on weekends.
