Sales at this Homosassa thrift shop support the Key Training Center, a nonprofit that has helped adults with developmental disabilities live, learn, work and thrive since 1966. It started out serving seven people. Today it serves more than 300 adults each year through adult day training, residential services, supported employment and elder care, all built around kindness, love, dignity and respect.
Keys Training Thrift Store is open seven days a week. Inside, hanging signs mark the clothing sections, including ladies and ladies plus, above long rows of racks that fill the sales floor. The Key Center Foundation also takes monetary gifts that pay for the center's programs, and it holds yearly fundraisers such as a basket auction, a fashion show and a charity run.
