Every sale at the Paddock Park Shops thrift store in Ocala helps fund patient programs at Hospice of Marion County, which offers end-of-life care to anyone in the community regardless of ability to pay. The store carries clothing, shoes and accessories for adults and children, along with housewares, décor and furniture. All of the stock is donated by local residents, so it changes often.
Donations are accepted Monday through Saturday, and pickups of large furniture and other heavy items can be scheduled by appointment. Volunteers help run the store by ringing up sales, sorting donations and stocking the floor. The shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. Its name is spelled out in bright pink letters above a long green awning.
