A charity thrift shop run by Catholic Charities Maine, Threads of Hope in Sanford puts every penny of its proceeds toward fighting poverty in Maine. Sales here support more than twenty Catholic Charities programs across the state.
The stock includes vintage clothing, shoes and handbags, along with secondhand furniture, dishes, lamps, household essentials and even art. Donations are accepted Monday through Friday during the morning and early afternoon. The store is open six days a week, closed Sundays, and stays open into the evening. Two black metal awnings shade the storefront, which sits beneath a white Threads Thrift sign.
