Donations go to the Receiving Room on the Ryther campus on Tuesday mornings, not to the shop itself, and a list of accepted items sets what gets taken in. ReStyle for Ryther opens six days a week, Sundays included. The Ryther League runs it with volunteers, and all of the money it raises goes to Ryther's mental health services for children, youth and their families in Seattle.
Since 1937 the League has supported Ryther's children and programs through fundraising and volunteer work. It is a nonprofit separate from Ryther itself. Volunteering at the thrift store is one way to take part in the League, and the shop welcomes new volunteers as well as customers. Its red brick front has a bright blue awning with the store's name in gold and white letters.
