Every dollar of profit from Mission Thrift in Tacoma goes directly to the Tacoma Rescue Mission and its nonprofit initiatives. That work aims to offer God's love, hope and support to neighbors in need and to lift up communities. Purchases, donated goods and volunteer hours all go toward it. Bright orange window graphics, covered in white line drawings of clothing, furniture and household goods, frame the store's logo out front.
The mission thrift store takes donations at its door during daytime hours from Tuesday through Sunday. It is open six days a week, Sundays included, and stays open into the evening on weekdays. A monthly email list sends store updates, stories of community impact and a special coupon.
