Donations of clothing and household goods left at this University Place thrift store are accepted on behalf of Northwest Center of Seattle. Value Village, a for-profit company, pays the nonprofit for those goods, though purchases themselves do not benefit it. Accepted donations include clothing and shoes, books and media, electronics, housewares, bed and bath items, games and toys, sporting goods, small appliances, small furniture, and backpacks and purses.
The sales floor carries clothing for the whole family along with dinnerware, accessories, books, housewares and electronics. Every Tuesday is Senior Tuesday for shoppers 55 and older, and Super Savers Club members get access to members-only sales. The store opens seven days a week and stays open into the evening. A long red awning with the Value Village name in large white letters runs across the front of the building.
